Class 5 Eco Town Monday 12th January 2026
Eco Town is based in the Environmental Education Centre at Farington Waste Recovery Park. During the class visit to Eco Town, the children will discover different ways of recovering valuable resources, from household waste and how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Eco Town is an exciting environmental education experience. It is divided into three districts: Materials, Mechanical, and Bio, featuring 13 streets for the children to explore.

Class 1 Trip to Wild Discovery Ribby Hall Village Wednesday 21st January
As part of this terms science topic, children from year 1 will be visiting Wild Discovery Park on Wednesday 21st January.
Whilst at the Discovery Park, children will take part in a unique variety of activities, whilst learning about animals in their habitats.

As part of this terms topic, class 5 will be visiting Blackpool Zoo on Wednesday 28th January. Children will be learning about endangered animals, specifically looking at orangutans as part of their learning about the Environment and Sustainability.

Class 2 Trip to Fireground Museum Thursday 29th January
As part of this terms history topic, children from year 2 will be visiting the Fireground Museum in Manchester on Thursday 29th January as part of their learning in history.
Whilst at the museum, children will discover how the Great Fire of London started and spread.

Reception Trip to Blackpool Showtown Museum Wednesday 4th February
As part of this terms topic, reception class will be visiting Showtown Museum on Wednesday 4th February to learn all about the seaside. We will be walking to and from the venue where we have an educational session booked.

Class 4 Southport Eco Centre Thursday 5th February 2026
Class 4 will be visiting Southport Eco Centre on Thursday 5th February as part of their geography work. Whilst at the recycling centre, children will be looking at the cost of waste on the environment. Pupils will learn how we can do more to reduce waste, through interactive hands-on activities, including in house digital games, as well as discovering how big our waste footprint can be in 21st century. The day will challenge their view about the rubbish they generate and explore new technologies that enable, better, innovative waste management.

Class 3 Bolton Museum Wednesday 11th February 2026
As part of this terms history topic on Ancient Egypt, class 3 will be visiting Bolton Museum on Wednesday 11th February. Children will participate in an Egyptian workshop and a tour of the museum which includes all phases of Egyptian culture.
